Accounting Assistant (Payment)

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) process supplier invoice, student and staff claims, ensuring compliance with University’s policies, funding guidelines and Key Performance Indicators;
(b) liaise with user units to resolve payment issues and handle enquiries in a professional manner;
(c) assist in reporting tasks and other administrative duties; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised diploma/certificate, preferably in Accountancy or related disciplines; or
a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language, Mathematics, and preferably Business, Accounting & Financial Studies/ Practical Accounting for SMEs; or
five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Mathematics, and preferably Principles of Accounts;
(b) proficiency in Microsoft Office application including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system will be an advantage;
(c) a fair command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is preferred;
(d) good problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; and
(e) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
