Duties 

The appointee will work under the Branding and Marketing Division of the Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office (KTEO) and be required to: 

(a)    develop and implement social media strategies through content creation, posting, and advertisement boosting in the social media platforms adopted in KTEO, including WeChat, REDNote, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedln and YouTube channels;

(b)    develop branding and marketing materials, including marketing presentation materials and messages, media kit, creative articles and videos to build up brand identity and engage target audiences;  

(c)    foster strong relationship with key social media contacts, media vendors and digital platform providers;

(d)    plan and implement marketing events and activities, such as banquets, ceremonies, seminars, conferences, competitions, exhibitions, press conferences and industry showcases, etc.; 

(e)    engage with internal and external stakeholders, including startups, students, academics and industry members, to promote knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship initiatives; and

(f)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship or his/her delegates.

Working on irregular hours including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.   

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree in a related discipline with at least five years of relevant post-qualification working experience;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;

(c)    be creative, highly independent and motivated with strong sense of ownership; 

(d)    have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.; 

(e)    be a collaborative, detail-oriented, responsible and pro-active team player; and

(f)     have good interpersonal and communication skills.

Preference will be given to those with experience in marketing, communications and/or event management.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
