Executive Assistant

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    provide administrative support to academic programmes, teaching and learning activities, and related centralised exercises such as admission, class time-tabling, and subject registration;

(b)    assist in the organisation of meetings, seminars, and activities;

(c)    handle enquiries and liaise with internal and external parties;

(d)    compile statistical reports and maintain databases for the department;

(e)    provide support in office management and daily operations of the General Office; and

(f)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised degree with relevant post-qualification work experience;

(b)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(c)    have good computer literacy, including MS Office and Chinese word processing;

(d)    have good organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills;

(e)    have the qualities of a good team player with strong sense of responsibilities, and

(f)     be self-motivated, attentive to details, and able to work independently.

Preferences will be given to those with solid relevant work experience in tertiary institutions.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
