Research Associate

[Appointment period: six to twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Health support project for persons with disabilities”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist the Project Manager in screening participants and implementing interventions in the assigned centre(s);
(b) oversee the data collection of the project in the assigned centre(s);
(c) assist in the organisation of project dissemination activities and preparation of progress reports; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a master’s degree in Rehabilitation, Psychology, Social Sciences, Social Administration, Public Health, Occupational Therapy or other health-related disciplines with two or more years of research/relevant work experience or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with three or more years of research/relevant work experience;
(b) have working experience in data collection, liaison with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), qualitative and quantitative data analysis as well as other research supporting work;
(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese;
(d) have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills;
(e) have a strong sense of responsibility; and
(f) be self-motivated and able to work independently.
