Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    lead the Marketing Team to formulate and implement marketing and media plans to achieve the mission and objectives of the Unit;

(b)    implement recruitment marketing strategies for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes;

(c)    coordinate and organise marketing and promotional activities and events, such as seminars, conferences, symposiums, Information Day, Consultation Day, mini school talks, alumni activities, etc.;

(d)    manage the departmental website and various social media platforms;

(e)    develop and implement a comprehensive plan for improving international rankings;

(f)     organise staff team-building functions and student study tours;

(g)    maintain professional and effective communication with international and local academic and industrial partners;

(h)    liaise with other academic units and central administrative units within the University, as well as external organisations to execute various events, activities, and programmes;

(i)    provide secretarial and administrative support for committees, working groups and meetings; and

(j)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    possess a recognised degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related disciplines; 

(b)    have at least five years’ solid post-qualification administrative work experience at supervisory level in a tertiary institution;

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;

(d)    be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other common office productivity tools;

(e)    have strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills;

(f)     have strong problem-solving skills; and

(g)    be proactive, able to work independently and multitask.

Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment at a lower rank. 

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
