Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    lead the teaching team to provide comprehensive administrative support for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including student admissions, subject registration, class timetabling, examination arrangements, student liaison, etc.;

(b)    assist in professional accreditation exercises and ensure the compliance with the University’s academic regulations;

(c)    support the administration of Work-Integrated Education and student internship activities, by coordinating internship opportunities, assisting with visa applications, maintaining student databases and handling enquiries; 

(d)    coordinate the promotion and marketing activities for programmes;

(e)    coordinate and organise student study tours;

(f)     provide logistics and secretarial support for departmental committees and meetings;

(g)    liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    possess a recognised degree with at least five years’ solid post-qualification administrative work experience at supervisory level, preferably in teaching administration in a tertiary institution;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;

(c)    be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other common office productivity tools;

(d)    have good communication, interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills; and

(e)    be proactive, able to work independently and multitask.

Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment at a lower rank. 

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
