Assistant Executive Officer

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events and activities, including visits, seminars, workshops, conferences, programme orientations, admission talks, and the University Info Day;

(b)    create, manage, and update content for departmental websites and social media platforms to enhance visibility and engagement;

(c)    administer scholarship and internship application processes;

(d)    handle information flow and maintain systematic and efficient filing and record systems;

(e)    prepare reports, meeting minutes, promotional materials and presentation content;

(f)     coordinate effectively with both internal units and external partners;

(g)    provide back-up administrative assistance for the counter operations of the Unit; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised degree with at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including fluency in Putonghua;

(c)    be proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, preferably with familiarity in design software application and website content management systems;

(d)    possess strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, multitasking and organisational skills; and

(e)    be a self-motivated team player, attentive to details and able to work independently.

Preference will be given to those with experience in the higher education sector and proven experience in event planning and organisation.  

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for an interview.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
