Project Associate

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - “Academic curriculum, impact and network expansion”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    assist in curriculum development and workflow improvement;

(b)    provide administrative support to the programme coordinator and faculty, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents and maintaining records;

(c)    support curriculum development on new teaching programmes and profiles;

(d)    facilitate effective communication and collaboration by serving as a point of contact for students, faculty and external partners;

(e)    support annual strategic planning on academic development;

(f)    provide administrative and logistics support for programme events, including setup, logistics and coordination with vendors;

(g)    assist in promotion of the programme through social media, newsletters and other marketing channels; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a master’s degree preferably in Design or a good honours degree with three or more years of relevant work experience in design studies or related fields;

(b)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English;

(c)    have good computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe CS;

(d)    have good interpersonal and organisational skills; and

(e)    be a good team player and able to work independently.

Preference will be given to those who are familiar with design software, and have knowledge of basic web content management, e.g., HTML/CSS, Wordpress, Canto, etc.
