Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Rural revitalization or tourism gentrification? – Exploring sentiment changes among residents and tourists on entrepreneurship-driven rural transformation”.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Tourism Management, Sociology and Anthropology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification, preferably a master’s degree;
(b) have excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese;
(c) have proven research expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods, specifically in conducting in-depth interviews, questionnaire surveys, and performing online data analysis; and
(d) be willing to undertake substantial ethnographic field studies requiring stays of 2-3 weeks in rural settings.
