Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative support to research related activities, promotion and marketing related activities;
(b) manage human resources and financial matters of the project;
(c) be responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of networking events, meetings, seminars, workshops, projects and marketing activities;
(d) manage projects and facilitate activities with partners related to collaborative research;
(e) provide secretarial support to project team members or related committees;
(f) liaise with internal departments, administrative units and external organisations to execute various events/activities and programmes; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointee may occasionally be required to work irregular hours including weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of solid relevant post-qualification experience in project management and/or marketing communications;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;
(c) have good computer literacy, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat;
(d) possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
(e) have good liaison and organisational skills;
(f) be able to work independently;
(g) be highly self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work under pressure; and
(h) be dynamic and mature with the passion to build and sustain strong relationship with stakeholders.
Preference will be given to those with working experience gained in tertiary institutions or similar organisations, as well as those with a strong sense of creativity and aesthetics.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
