Part-time Postdoctoral Fellow

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “Legal foundation model system”. He/she will serve as a core AI research and engineering member and also be required to:
(a) lead and conduct research and development in prompt engineering, model post-training, API integration, and system performance optimisation;
(b) leverage the in-house Agent platform to design and deploy automated solutions for complex business workflows, and continuously iterate and optimise system architecture to guarantee long-term stability and operational efficiency;
(c) independently design and develop high-quality, high-performance AI service backends using Python and FastAPI framework;
(d) take charge of PostgreSQL database design, optimisation and maintenance, establish efficient data storage and access mechanisms, and integrate search engine technologies to fulfil practical business and research needs;
(e) collaborate closely with legal compliance researchers and data engineers to formulate strategies for training data construction, as well as the design of test datasets and evaluation scenarios;
(f) conduct in-depth analysis of model output results and compile professional research and performance reports; and
(g) undertake any other relevant research and academic duties as assigned by the project leader or senior research team members.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Law and Technology or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application;
(b) have solid research experience and in-depth practical proficiency in Coze, Dify, LangGraph and mainstream Agent construction frameworks, with proven capability to independently design and implement complex task automation systems;
(c) possess strong command of Python programming, with solid theoretical foundations and hands-on research experience in NLP and machine learning;
(d) demonstrate comprehensive understanding of prompt engineering, model alignment, and model output evaluation methodologies; and
(e) be fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with excellent independent research capability, self-motivation, and team collaboration spirit.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$385 per hour.
