Assistant Officer

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative support to events and promotional activities of the Faculty, such as conferences, symposiums, seminars, workshops and information days;

(b)    develop promotional materials for events and academic programmes;

(c)    assist in handling layout design and operational management for Faculty’s website and various social media platforms;

(d)    provide administrative support to student recruitments and alumni relations;

(e)    liaise with internal and external parties; and

(f)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, with at least three years of relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(c)    have good computer literacy;

(d)    demonstrate strong design sensibility and technical skills;

(e)    be familiar with digital marketing environment and design tools, and be proficient in creating content for social media platforms;

(f)     have strong sense of responsibility, and communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills;

(g)    have the ability to work proactively and independently within a team, balance multiple priorities and meet tight timelines; and

(h)    be self-motivated.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
