Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    handle matters related to hall admission and implement the related policies;

(b)    facilitate rehabilitative efforts and administer sanctions on disciplinary cases;

(c)    monitor the performance of the contractor for property management services;

(d)    plan and conduct programmes, events and functions to facilitate cultural exchange among students from different countries;

(e)    provide advice and appropriate assistance to non-local students; 

(f)     coordinate spot-check on compliance to critical rules;

(g)    draft and compile documents, reports and replies to enquiries as well as complaints whenever necessary;

(h)    plan and conduct residential programmes for internal and external stakeholders;

(i)     provide administrative support to office operation;

(j)     serve as secretary to committees / meetings / focus groups; and

(k)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates. 

The appointee may be required to work irregular hours and perform on-call duties. 

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience;

(b)    have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently;

(c)    be a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive personality; 

(d)    have a good command of both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage

(e)    be mature and have good interpersonal and communication skills; and

(f)     have good computer literacy.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
