Assistant Technical Officer

Duties 

The appointee will provide technical support to the Department of Management and Marketing. The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting services for administrative systems, network systems, websites, Content Management System (CMS), research, teaching and administrative software, hardware, network issues and audio-visual systems;

(b)    deliver technical support for meetings, seminars, hybrid teaching and online examinations;

(c)    offer on-site support and assist teachers in using IT facilities for teaching purposes;

(d)    set up and maintain all IT facilities and equipment for the Department;

(e)    provide administrative support for IT projects, including administration, scheduling, procurement, documentation and correspondence;

(f)     assist in inventory control of IT & AV equipment;

(g)    support video production, editing, live streaming and related assignments;

(h)    formulate IT-related guidelines and procedures for users; and

(i)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree in Information Technology or other related disciplines;

(b)    be self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure; 

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; and

(d)    have good interpersonal and communication skills.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
