Senior Executive Officer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) oversee and lead the core functions of the School relating to student life management to achieve strategic objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines;
(b) formulate and implement initiatives of the School, and manage the daily operations of its core functions, including but not limited to academic administration, student services, policy review and implementation, and data analysis and reporting;
(c) promote best practices in the administration of matters relating to research postgraduate programmes and students for achieving consistency and effective communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders;
(d) analyse data, prepare reports and presentations, and provide insights to support planning, monitoring and decision-making;
(e) evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of various activities and propose enhancements to pursue excellence and maximise impact;
(f) lead and support other projects, business processes and new initiatives as required;
(g) establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
(h) serve on committees and other working groups and/or task forces; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least eight years of solid post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience, preferably with experience gained in sizable organisations or tertiary institutions;
(b) be proactive and self-motivated with effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
(c) have excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure;
(d) have strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of computer literacy;
(e) have excellent planning and project management skills, with the ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights;
(f) be able to work independently and collaboratively as a good team player, and build strong working relationships with stakeholders; and
(g) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and be able to communicate effectively in Putonghua.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
