The Division of Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities (AIH) has been newly established on 1 January 2026 within the Faculty of Humanities. AIH is dedicated to advancing innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence and humanistic inquiry. Positioned at the forefront of emerging technologies, AIH aims to promote the development of human-centred AI that enhances society through ethical, creative, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide professional administrative support for research grants and project matters, as well as the research postgraduate programme;
(b) liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to research;
(c) provide secretarial support to the Head of Division;
(d) assist with human resources and staffing-related matters;
(e) plan and organise lecture series and seminars;
(f) provide administrative support to other operations of the Division;
(g) provide secretarial support to the committees and meetings; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Division or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant work experience;
(b) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) demonstrate strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills; and
(d) be proactive and results-oriented, and able to formulate/implement plans independently as well as work under pressure.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
