Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Neurocognitive markers for typical language development and language disorders in children: A longitudinal study based on long-term memory, sleep and brain development”. He/She will be required to:
(a) recruit Cantonese-speaking children that meet the inclusionary and exclusionary criteria;
(b) administer the behavioural battery of language, memory and other cognitive tasks to the children;
(c) assist the MRI data acquisition from the children;
(d) analyse the data and carry out statistical analyses under the supervision of the project leader; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Linguistics, Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience or a related discipline, with some experience with child language acquisition;
(b) have experience of administering behavioural studies to children; and
(c) preferably be a native speaker of Cantonese or familiar with Cantonese.
