Part-time Research Assistant

[Appointment period: three months initially, with the possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - “From traditional cultural symbolics to modern consumer products: An AI-powered translational mechanism of image”. He/She will be required to:
(a) collect, organise and analyse data related to cultural heritage, museum collections and consumer product trends;
(b) assist in conducting research on the transformation of traditional cultural symbolics into modern consumer products;
(c) assist in user testing, data collection and preliminary analysis;
(d) conduct literature reviews and summarise findings relevant to digital humanities, cultural computing and AI applications;
(e) assist in preparing research reports, presentations and academic publications;
(f) provide administrative and coordination support for project-related activities; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work on flexible hours and travel occasionally outside Hong Kong.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree or above in Design, Cultural Management or related disciplines;
(b) strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English; and
(c) good teamwork spirit and strong willingness to learn.
Preference will be given to those with background/experience in cultural management, cultural and creative industries, or relevant technical skills (e.g. digital media, AI tools, or platform development) as well as those with experience in cultural and creative product development, museum-related projects, or digital cultural platforms.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
