Research Associate / Research Assistant (two posts)

[Appointment period: each for six months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “GEM-VR: GenAI-driven expressive arts therapy in virtual reality for enhancing youth’s mental well-being”. They will be required to:
(a) develop / improve the VR application in Unity for enabling GenAI-driven expressive arts therapy;
(b) integrate the VR application with the backend system and improve the backend system when necessary for better integration;
(c) assist in the preparation of relevant reports and presentation materials; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines.
Applicants should also have:
(a) experience in the development of Unity;
(b) a good command of written English; and
(c) good interpersonal and communication skills.
