Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    assist in the management of research postgraduate programmes hosted by the Faculty, including handling of admission, subject registration, assessment and other centralised exercises; 

(b)    provide student support services and manage student matters; 

(c)    provide support to research administration; 

(d)    provide support to the management of staffing matters of constituent departments/schools under the Faculty’s purview;

(e)    provide secretarial support to committees; 

(f)     liaise with other units of the University and external organisations;

(g)    support the planning, coordination and implementation of seminars, workshops, projects, special events and promotional activities; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or his/her delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised degree;

(b)    have at least five years of solid work experience, preferably in academic programme administration in tertiary education institutions; 

(c)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; 

(d)    possess effective communication, interpersonal, organisational and multi-tasking skills; 

(e)    have good computer literacy and a positive working attitude; and

(f)     be a good team player and able to work independently and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. 

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
