The Division of Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities (AIH) has been newly established on 1 January 2026 within the Faculty of Humanities. AIH is dedicated to advancing innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence and humanistic inquiry. Positioned at the forefront of emerging technologies, AIH aims to promote the development of human-centred AI that enhances society through ethical, creative, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) coordinate and oversee all aspects of administration within the Division;
(b) provide support to the Head of Division in planning and development of the Division, as well as the implementation of strategic initiatives;
(c) assist the Head in budgetary and staffing matters;
(d) provide administrative support for academic planning, development and offerings, research and scholarly activities, global engagement and knowledge transfer of the Division;
(e) assist the Head of Division in ensuring that quality assurance processes comply with all requirements;
(f) coordinate, plan, and organise events, projects, and functions;
(g) provide secretarial services to committees and meetings;
(h) maintain professional and effective internal and external communications with relevant stakeholders;
(i) supervise junior staff in the pertinent day-to-day operations and activities; and
(j) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Division or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least eight years of solid post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience, preferably with experience gained in sizable organisations or tertiary institutions;
(b) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
(d) possess strong problem-solving and leadership skills;
(e) be proactive and professional, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team; and
(f) be proficient in computer applications.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
