Assistant Manager (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    assist in overseeing the development and operation of the entrepreneurship funding programmes in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area;

(b)    work closely with the start-ups supported by the University to provide necessary support and guidance for the development of entrepreneurship;

(c)    coordinate with stakeholders and partners to plan and organise training and events for the promotion of competition/funding/incubation programmes;

(d)    identify and work with local and international potential partners to develop, implement and operate joint programmes; 

(e)    coordinate with designers, editors and other stakeholders for the production of promotional materials including newsletters, publications, brochures and videos in high quality;

(f)     manage and update the website and social media platforms; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship or his/her delegates.

Working on irregular hours including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree;

(b)    have at least five years of solid professional and relevant experience, preferably with experience in project and event management or technology transfer;

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d)    be creative, highly independent and motivated with a strong sense of ownership; 

(e)    be a good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and project management skills; and

(f)     be highly motivated, result-oriented and willing to work under tight schedules with positive working attitude.
