Project Associate

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “Quant cloud centre for AI in accounting and finance”. He/She will act as the project manager and also be required to:
(a) be responsible for the overall planning, progress tracking, and delivery management of the project to ensure that key project milestones, such as data alignment, model integration, and agent development, are completed as scheduled;
(b) coordinate collaboration among AI algorithm engineers, quantitative researchers, and development engineers, maintain efficient communication with the R&D department of Going Technology and the academic team of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University;
(c) coordinate the procurement of high-frequency market data required for the project, such as Level-2 data for Hong Kong and U.S. stocks, as well as the rental and allocation of computing resources, such as H100/A100 GPU servers; and
(d) identify technical challenges and risks during project implementation and develop contingency plans.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a master’s degree in in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Project Management or related fields, or a good honours degree in the abovementioned disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience;
(b) at least 5 years of project management experience in financial technology or quantitative investment;
(c) ability to understand and translate technical language, with a basic understanding of transformer architecture, multimodal integration, GPU parallel acceleration, and related concepts; and
(d) excellent communication skills and bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, with the ability to balance academic research and commercial implementation.
Preference will be given to candidate who is familiar with AI large models, reinforcement learning, or high-frequency trading system development processes.
