Assistant Officer (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative support to the Counselling and Wellness Section;

(b)    administer student surveys or evaluation of programmes / services including data collection, compilation of statistical reports and report writing;

(c)    support the data analysis of surveys and reports;

(d)    liaise with students, internal and external stakeholders;

(e)    support the delivery of promotion and publicity of wellness through wellness programmes and different channels of the Section; and

(f)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates. 

The appointee may be required to work during non-office hours if necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised degree preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Education or a relevant discipline;

(b)    at least two years of administrative or relevant experience, preferably in promotion, designing or working with university students;

(c)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; 

(d)    good computer literacy;

(e)    a good servicing attitude; and

(f)     excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
