Engineer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) facilitate student learning and development, and develop corresponding curriculum and pedagogy;
(b) lead and coordinate student learning modules and subjects, and promote teaching quality among colleagues;
(c) lead and organise research support and knowledge transfer activities;
(d) organise and implement strategic actions, regulations and procedures for the assigned Team;
(e) lead and organise essential operations of the assigned Team;
(f) assist in resources deployment and performance evaluation of the assigned Team;
(g) work closely with stakeholders in the University, industrial partners and clients; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Centre or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree or a higher degree in AI, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline;
(b) at least five years of work experience in AI or software development and deployment for real-world applications, together with solid supervisory experience;
(c) strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and the drive to turn bold ideas into real-world innovations, with a collaborative team spirit; and
(d) a good command of written and spoken English.
Preference will be given to those with:
(a) hands-on experience in AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, Computer Vision, ML pipelines, agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph), or the Hugging Face ecosystem;
(b) teaching or curriculum development experience in higher education, or research and development experience in AI or software engineering; and
(c) experience in applying AI to robotics, or familiarity with digital twin platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Omniverse).
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
