Assistant Executive Officer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative support to academic programmes, including admission, subject registration, class timetabling, examination and student liaison, etc.;
(b) prepare budgets and reports related to the administration of academic programmes;
(c) plan and organise various departmental and promotional activities/events,
e.g. Information Day, Congregation, seminars, and student activities;
(d) provide secretarial support to departmental committees;
(e) assist in compiling reports, inputting data, and maintaining records;
(f) liaise effectively with the University’s internal and external stakeholders and handle enquiries;
(g) assist the Executive Officer(s) in the daily operation of the Department’s general office; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification plus not less than three years of relevant working experience;
(b) have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;
(c) be detail-minded with a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently;
(d) have good computer skills;
(e) have good communication, interpersonal, liaison and organisational skills;
(f) have a positive working attitude; and
(g) be a good team player.
Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary institutions or similar organisations.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
