Assistant Officer

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative support to programme operation, including admissions, timetabling, subject registration, and examination exercises of Faculty-based programmes and subjects;

(b)    organise events including various Lecture Series, Information Days and orientations;

(c)    provide support in the organisation of the Congregation;

(d)    manage the Faculty’s social media platforms;

(e)    produce promotional and publicity materials, including posters;

(f)    provide secretarial services to committees and meetings; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree with at least three years of relevant work experience; 

(b)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(c)    have excellent computer literacy, including social media, and knowledge in design software such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign would be a definite advantage;

(d)    have excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;

(e)    be well-organised and attentive to details; and

(f)    be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary institutions or similar organisations.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
