Research Assistant (Full-time/Part-time)

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Digital mental health interventions for people affected by mental health challenges and their family carers”.  The research group has rich experience in relevant fields and aims at achieving impactful deliverables and publishing high-quality papers in top journals and conferences.  The appointee will be required to:

(a)    assist in the general management of the project;

(b)    prepare project materials;

(c)    assist in the recruitment of participants and data collection for the study;

(d)    assist in the facilitation of public, patient, and carer involvement and engagement in research;

(e)    assist in data management and data analysis;

(f)    assist in the preparation of reports and presentation materials;

(g)    liaise with various collaborators to facilitate the progression and management of the project;

(h)    prepare protocols, manuals and literature reviews for the project; and

(i)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School, the project leader or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have an honours degree, preferably in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Health Informatics or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification;

(b)    have some relevant research experience;

(c)    demonstrate research interest in working with people living with mental health challenges and family carer;

(d)    have proficiency in SPSS/R/Python, Excel, EndNote, NVivo and other Microsoft Office software, or web design/development including Chinese word processing;

(e)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese;

(f)     have good interpersonal and communication skills; and

(g)    have a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work independently.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.

For part-time appointment, the remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
