Research Associate / Research Assistant (Full-time/Part-time) (two posts)

Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Utilisation of immersive virtual reality in cognitive stimulation therapy (IVR-CST) for elderly with mild cognitive impairment: a randomised controlled pilot study”. They will be required to:
(a) assist in project management, material development, data collection and data analysis;
(b) assist in recruiting research participants, communicating, and maintaining good connections with the recruited participants;
(c) perform transcription and linguistic analyses upon PI’s supervision; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
The appointees may be required to work on Saturdays occasionally.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a Master’s degree in Speech Therapy, Rehabilitative Science or a good honours degree in the above-mentioned discipline with three or more years of research/relevant work experience. They should also have obtained a qualification of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy practitioner.
Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in Psychology, Linguistics, Rehabilitation or Social Sciences.
Applicants should also:
(a) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese;
(b) have good teamwork and interpersonal skills; and
(c) be proficient in computer skills, including SPSS, Microsoft Office, and Chinese word processing.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointments, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointments, the remuneration rates are HK$181 per hour for the post of Research Associate, and HK$125 per hour for the post of Research Assistant.
