Assistant Manager (Temporary Appointment)

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide management and administrative support to the operations and the services offered at the Regional Bases of the University and to render necessary support for their sustainable development;
(b) provide supervision and coaching to the staff at the Regional Bases;
(c) liaise with local partners/stakeholders and build effective networks to facilitate the University's development in the Chinese Mainland;
(d) develop new initiatives to advance the University's strategic interests in the Chinese Mainland; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Mainland Development or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong for the purposes of attending meetings and providing support to projects/activities/events.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree plus at least five years of post-qualification solid experience in related areas of work;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is a must;
(c) have good organisational skill and problem-solving ability;
(d) be well-organised and attentive to details;
(e) be a seasonal marketer and well-versed in the application of various social media platforms in the Chinese Mainland; and
(f) be a good team player and be able to work independently and proactively.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
