Assistant Officer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative support for various business processes pertaining to both the undergraduate research and postgraduate programmes as advised by the management team of the School;
(b) assist in the planning of initiatives, and managing the daily operations of the College of Undergraduate Researchers and Innovators as well as the Undergraduate Research and Innovation Scheme, including but not limited to promotion and student recruitment, project and database administration, preparation of reports and presentation materials, documentation, and liaison with students and supervisors;
(c) evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of various activities;
(d) establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
(e) take part in other projects and business processes when opportunities arise;
(f) serve on committees and other working groups and/or task forces; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree plus not less than three years of post-qualification experience;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;
(c) be proactive and self-motivated with good interpersonal, communication and time management skills;
(d) have a strong teamwork spirit and the ability to work independently; and
(e) have strong organisational skills with good computer literacy.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
