Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Developing an AI-empowered and student-centered institutional self-awareness and well-being support system: From assessment to intervention through parameter-efficient fine-tuning of foundation models”.
Qualifications
(a) have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) be proficient in Python, with solid experience in clean code development, debugging, and performance optimisation, and be capable of independently delivering complete functional modules;
(c) be skilled in multimodal model development (text/speech/vision), with a strong grasp of core implementation logic and hands-on experience in integrating and realising multimodal capabilities;
(d) be familiar with large language model (LLM) development, including API integration, conversational system design, and practical prompt engineering;
(e) have strong ability in requirement analysis and communication, ensuring precise alignment with team technical standards, development scope, and expected outcomes;
(f) be experienced with Git version control and knowledgeable in backend frameworks such as FastAPI/Flask. Priority will be given to candidates who can build services, develop APIs, and collaborate smoothly with frontend teams; and
(g) have previous experience in AI productisation, chatbot development, or model deployment, which is a plus, along with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving projects forward.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment, the remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
