Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research projects - “Police force interactive educational theatre and research project”, “Well-being of early career academics in Hong Kong: A longitudinal mixed methods study”, “Problematic internet use among rural Chinese children: A longitudinal mixed methods study based on multiple informants” and/or “The impact of school connectedness on Internet addiction: A longitudinal quantitative study among Chinese adolescents”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist in the coordination of data collection and recruitment of participants;
(b) assist in conducting research and evaluative studies;
(c) collect and analyse data;
(d) draft reports and papers related to the projects;
(e) provide assistance to the administration of the projects; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.
The appointee may occasionally be required to work on irregular hours including weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Public Health or other related disciplines;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) be proficient in using statistical software such as SPSS, Mplus and R;
(d) have good interpersonal and organisational skills; and
(e) be a good team player and able to work independently.
