Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – “Machine learning platform for heterogeneous accelerator clusters”. They will be required to:
(a) design and develop an efficient asynchronous checkpointing strategy during model training to enable rapid recovery in the event of failures;
(b) design and develop an efficient parameter and optimiser compression algorithm for the checkpointing process during model training; and
(c) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader, the Head of Unit or their delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification.
