Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide comprehensive administrative support to the Vice President (Knowledge Transfer) [VP(KT)], including drafting correspondence and handling sensitive and confidential issues in a professional manner;
(b) act as a point of contact with internal academic and administrative units, as well as external organisations, to ensure seamless communication, and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders;
(c) provide secretarial and logistic support, arrange meetings and provide support to committees and working groups, such as preparation of minutes, notes and reports;
(d) plan, coordinate and implement related events such as seminar, conferences, ceremonies, etc.;
(e) support the day-to-day operation and administration of the Unit; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by VP(KT) or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree;
(b) have at least five years of solid and relevant post-qualification administrative experience at supervisory level, preferably with some years of experience gained in sizable organisations or tertiary institutions;
(c) have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as computer literacy;
(d) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;
(e) be meticulous and have good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills; and
(f) be pleasant, proactive, independent and able to work under pressure.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
