Part-time Research Assistant

[Appointment period: three months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “The seductive details effect of danmu on the incidental learning of English vocabulary”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist in collecting eye-tracking data;
(b) assist in collecting interview data; and
(c) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies, Communication, Media or a related discipline, and preferably a master’s degree with a solid background in audio-visual translation;
(b) prior experience in collecting eye-tracking data;
(c) a good command of English and Putonghua; and
(d) good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
