[Appointment period: each for twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research projects - “A mixed methods evaluation study of the CareER career development framework 2.0: Enhancing support model for highly educated PwD during school to work transition” and/or “Enhancing public service access and utilization among parents of disabled children in China: Is parent organisation a bridge and enabler?”. They will be required to:
(a) assist in project management and administration;
(b) liase with NGO partners for recruitment of participants and data collection in quantitative and qualitative studies;
(c) conduct data analysis;
(d) conduct literature review;
(e) draft research proposals, reports and academic manuscripts; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Social Work, Sociology or other related disciplines
(b) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese;
(c) be proficient in using statistical software programmes such as SPSS, Mplus, R or STATA;
(d) have experiences in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research;
(e) have research interests and a solid background in disability services;
(f) have good communication skills in liaising with research partners and participants;
(g) have good problem-solving skills; and
(h) be proactive, responsible and independent to implement research activities according to research plans.
Preference will be given to those with research/work experience, as well as a master’s degree.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointments, the remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
