Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Developing an AI-empowered and student-centered institutional self-awareness and well-being support system: From assessment to intervention through parameter-efficient fine-tuning of foundation models”.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Data Science or Computational Linguistics;
(b) be fluent in Chinese and English; and
(c) be able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and demonstrate the following competencies:
• Proficiency in Python and at least one mainstream deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow), with hands-on experience in model optimisation and tuning;
• Expert knowledge of backend frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, with the ability to independently design and develop robust RESTful APIs;
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue, and the ability to build responsive, user-friendly interactive interfaces;
• Prior project experience using frameworks such as LlamaIndex to develop AI agents or complex conversational systems is highly preferred;
• Having independently, or as a core developer, completed at least one end-to-end AI application or complex system from development through to production deployment will be given priority; and
• Demonstrated ability to translate high-level objectives and requirements into concrete technical solutions and to drive their execution to completion, will receive particular consideration.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment, the remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
