Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative support to academic programmes, including but not limited to admission exercise, student record management, centralised academic exercises, related student activities and quality assurance matters;

(b)    provide secretarial support to committees, programmes, working groups and teaching-related initiatives;

(c)    liaise with internal departments/units and external organisations to coordinate programme-related activities and events;

(d)    assist with logistics and promotions for academic events, and support student recruitment initiatives to strengthen outreach and engagement;

(e)    support office administration and policy-making;

(f)    maintain the office website and database systems;

(g)    ensure the effective operation of the Unit to facilitate smooth daily running;

(h)    supervise junior staff; and

(i)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of College or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised degree with at least five years of solid experience in academic programme administration or related higher education administrative work; 

(b)    a good knowledge of programme and/or subject administration;

(c)    an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with fluency in Putonghua;

(d)    strong computer literacy, with familiarity in academic administration systems being an advantage; and

(e)    strong problem-solving, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
