Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Co-design and feasibility testing of a digital sexual health platform for Chinese sexual and gender minority women (SGMW): A pilot study”. This study aims to co-design a web-based interactive sexual health platform tailored for SGMW, in collaboration with SGMW and other key stakeholders. The appointee will be required to:
(a) coordinate and participate in project activities, such as community member interviews and workshop facilitation;
(b) prepare academic materials of the project, e.g., literature review, recruitment of participant, data collection, data analysis (quantitative and qualitative) and progress report writing;
(c) liaise with different collaborators (e.g. non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and community groups) to facilitate the progression and management of the project;
(d) provide administrative support to the project team; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree, preferably in Nursing, Social Sciences, Public Health, Psychology or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification;
(b) demonstrate research interest in working with sexual minority women, as well as transgender and gender diverse individuals;
(c) have good computer literacy, including proficiency in EndNote, Microsoft Office, and statistical software such as SPSS, NVivo or R, preferably with knowledge in website design/development skills;
(d) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(e) have excellent organisational and communication skills;
(f) demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility; and
(g) be able to work independently.
Preference will be given to those with experience in project coordination, NGO collaboration or health promotion.
