Assistant Officer

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    support the administration of the Department’s undergraduate programmes, including matters related to student placements;

(b)    assist in the planning and organisation of departmental, marketing and student development activities and events;

(c)    maintain accurate and effective record systems and databases for academic programmes;

(d)    provide support for departmental meetings and general office administration; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

(a)    a recognised degree with several years of relevant working experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector;

(b)    good communication and interpersonal skills;

(c)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

(d)    ability in organising and coordinating functions and events; and

(e)    good computer literacy and proficiency in common office software.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
