Project Associate / Project Assistant

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Joint research centre for primary health care”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    assist in organising and coordinating the daily operation of the Centre;

(b)    liaise and collaborate with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), community partners and other stakeholders to promote the Centre’s services;

(c)    support the planning and implementation of health promotion activities and outreach programmes;

(d)    assist in preparing reports, promotional materials and documentation related to the Centre’s initiatives; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Project Associate post should have a master’s degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Public Health, Business Administration or other related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience.

Applicants for the Project Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants should also: 

(a)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

(b)    possess strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills;

(c)    be able to work independently and collaboratively in community and university settings; and

(d)    demonstrate interest in primary health care and community engagement.

Preference will be given to those with experience in project coordination, NGO collaboration or health promotion.
