Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Capturing predictive processing in healthy aging using Large Language Models: an EEG-fMRI study”. He/She will be required to:
(a) work with available Large Language Models (LLMs) in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese;
(b) extract surprisal, entropy, and other information theory measures from LLMs; and
(c) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a good honours degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English and Putonghua Chinese, knowledge of Cantonese is an advantage;
(c) good teamwork and interpersonal skills; and
(d) proficiencyin the Python programming language, including familiarity with the main libraries for processing of textual data (e.g., NLTK, Stanza, PyTorch, etc.).
Experience in using Large Language Models for linguistic research is a plus.
