Senior Alumni Affairs Assistant (Temporary Appointment)

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative and logistic support for the daily operations of the Office and the Alumni Atrium;
(b) support the execution of alumni activities, engagement programmes and University events;
(c) liaise with internal departments, and external partners, alumni and alumni bodies;
(d) perform counter duties, handle enquiries and phone calls;
(e) support content updates on website and other communication channels;
(f) perform research and update of alumni profiles and records in database and on website; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office and her designates from time to time.
The appointees will be required to work outside normal office hours for the purposes of attending meetings and/or providing support for activities/projects.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree, with at least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably in event management, communication and/or marketing;
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) sound knowledge of computer software applications, preferably with knowledge and experience in MS Office applications, webpage production and social media;
(d) good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, and be attentive to details; and
(e) good interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork, be able to complete tasks independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preference will be given to those with work experience gained in tertiary institutions.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
