Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate / Project Associate / Research Assistant / Project Assistant (Full-time/Half-time/Part-time) (two posts)

Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Practice research on advancing social work through regional demonstration sites in the Chinese Mainland”.
The appointees may be required to travel occasionally to the Chinese Mainland.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow post should have a doctoral degree in Social Work, Social Policy, Sociology or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
Applicants for the Research Associate or Project Associate post should have a master’s degree or a good honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants for the Research Assistant or Project Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines or an equivalent qualification.
Applicants should also:
(a) have strong background and/or experience in social work;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;
(c) have good interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills;
(d) be highly motivated and able to cope with tight working schedules; and
(e) be a good team player and able to work independently.
Preference will be given to those with working experience in the Chinese Mainland and/or Government of The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and/or public organisations.

Conditions of Service
For full-time and half-time appointments, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointments, the remuneration rates are HK$385 per hour for the post of Postdoctoral Fellow, HK$178 per hour for the post of Research Associate / Project Associate and HK$125 per hour for the post of Research Assistant / Project Assistant.
