Administrative Assistant

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative and clerical support in relation to the School’s academic programmes, student administration, the School’s inbound and outbound student exchange programmes and related teaching and learning activities; 

(b)    assist in organising the School’s events and functions; 

(c)    manage an effective filing system and database for student records of the School;

(d)    perform counter duties and provide administrative support to the general office and other academic services; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or his/her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work on irregular hours including evenings.

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a)    have five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics;

(b)    some relevant administrative experience, preferably gained from education sector; 

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; 

(d)    have proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing; 

(e)    be able to work independently with minimum supervision;

(f)     be a good team player; and

(g)    have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preference will be given to those with fluency in Putonghua.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
