Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “AI guardians: Detection and analysis of sophisticated fake media contents with multimodal intelligence”. They will be required to:
(a) conduct the research on developing advanced techniques for the detection of hyper-realistic images and videos;
(b) assist in developing an online system to reliably detect such gen-AI content;
(c) detect fake content by effectively using the LLMs/LVMs/LRMs and reinforcement learning; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader, the Head of Unit or their delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline or a good honours degree in one of the afore-mentioned disciplines with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the afore-mentioned disciplines or an equivalent qualification.
Preference will be given to those with relevant experience and excellent programming skills.
