Assistant Executive Officer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) coordinate and maintain relationships with external partners, organisations, and stakeholders;
(b) assist in organising and supporting external events, conferences, and outreach activities;
(c) prepare and manage official correspondence, reports, and promotional materials for external communications;
(d) support the planning and execution of public relations and marketing initiatives;
(e) liaise with media, government agencies, and community groups as required;
(f) handle enquiries and requests from external parties in a timely and professional manner, and may require business trips from time to time;
(g) gather, analyse, and report on external affairs data and feedback to inform strategy and decision-making; and
(h) perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Institute or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree with at least three years of post-qualification experience in programme administration or project management;
(b) have proven experience in external relations, event coordination, or stakeholder engagement;
(c) have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);
(d) have the ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports, and promotional materials;
(e) assist in providing secretarial support to the unit and other related working groups and/or committees with attention to detail;
(f) have experience in public relations, marketing, or media liaison is preferred;
(g) have proficiency in MS Office, design software, and familiarity with digital communication tools;
(h) have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; and
(i) have the willingness to travel for business purposes as required.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
