Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    perform project administration and follow-up works for various entrepreneurial funding programmes and knowledge transfer activities in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland;

(b)    organise, execute and monitor the delivery of different entrepreneurial learning and training activities; 

(c)    design, plan and organise joint entrepreneurship activities with partnering associations/stakeholders within or outside PolyU;

(d)    coordinate with academic units and non-academic units for data collection and reports compilation to University Grants Committee and Central Management of the University; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship or his/her delegates.

Working on irregular hours including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree plus at least three years’ post-qualification experience in tertiary education sector, or a recognised certificate or diploma or an equivalent qualification plus at least five years’ relevant post-qualification working experience;

(b)    have at least three years of relevant experience in organising events/competitions/training/ incubation support services to students, start-ups, technologies, or other technology transfer and commercialisation activities;

(c)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;

(d)    be proactive and able to work independently and under pressure;

(e)    be a team player with good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; and

(f)     have strong problem-solving skills and can-do attitude as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
