Research Assistant (Full-time/Part-time) (two posts)

[Appointment period: each for six months initially, with possibility of further appointment]

Duties 

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project related to supporting the design, development, and coordination of an innovative AI learning platform.  They will be required to:

(a)    assist in the design and user experience planning of the AI learning platform, including content organisation and interface layout;

(b)    coordinate with faculty members to collect and organise course materials, assignments and standard answers for integration into the platform;

(c)    research and recommend suitable AI tools and resources for educational use and help prepare related tutorials;

(d)    support the creation of engaging multimedia content, such as story-based videos and interactive tutorials, to promote responsible AI use and prompt writing skills;

(e)    test platform features and provide feedback for continuous improvement;

(f)     communicate regularly with the project supervisor and team members to ensure timely progress and address any challenges; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader, the Head of Unit or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have an honours degree in Computing, Science, Design or a related discipline or an equivalent qualification;

(b)    be quick learner with a strong interest in educational technology and AI applications;

(c)    have experience with web design, multimedia content creation or AI tools;

(d)    have positive attitude, proactive and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively;

(e)    have strong organisational and communication skills; and

(f)     be responsible and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointment(s), a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.

For part-time appointment(s), the remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
